The story behind the song:
In an unfortunate accident everyone in the kingdom finds out Elsa fridge is full of moldy food. Embarrassed, Elsa takes her fridge and runs away to hide on the mountain where her mold can grow free.

Let it Grow

The mold grows old in my fridge tonight,

Nothing edible to be seen.

A kingdom of moldy foodstuff,

And it looks like I’m the queen.

The filth is growing like this awful guilt inside.

Couldn’t keep it in, heaven knows I tried.

Don’t let them in, don’t let them see.

Be the clean girl you always have to be.

Conceal, don’t feel. Don’t let them know . . .

Well, now they know!

Let it grow . . . let it grow!

Can’t hold it back any more,

Let it grow . . . let it grow!

Turn away and slam the fridge door!

I don’t care what they’re going to say,

Let the mold grow on . . .

The smell never bothered me anyway.

The story behind the song:
This song is mostly from the point of pharaoh’s wife in the exodus story from the bible, though it is not completely accurate.

Let Them Go

The sand blows gold in Egypt tonight,
Not a free man to be seen.
A kingdom of Jewish oppression,
And it looks like I’m the queen.
The wind is howling like this swirling storm inside.
Couldn’t keep them in, oh you know I tried.
Don’t let them in, don’t let them see,
Be the good girl you really ought to be!
Conceal, don’t feel. Don’t let them know!
Well, know they know!

“Let us go,” they said, “Let us go!”
“Don’t hold us back anymore!”
“Let us go, let us go!”
“You can’t just slam the door!”

Moses: Don’t you care what they’re going to say?!
Let the Jews go free… or God’s gonna bother you anyway.
