Ceasefire- Music Video

Because when more For King & Country stuff comes out, you know I have to post it.

I think they added… like 3 or 4 new songs to the anniversary edition “Run Wild, Live Free, Love Strong” album. And this is my favorite of them. (And it’s kind of been stuck in my head the past few days.)

Plus, it has a music video, so how convenient can you get? πŸ˜›

So those clips in there are from the new Ben Hur movie.

I kind of had a “duh” moment after watching it.

At first I was watching it and “Oh, they’re telling a story, cool.”

“Look! I think that’s Jesus.”

[guy is rowing on a slave ship] “Hey, that’s kind of like in Ben Hur.”

[shot of ship fleet] “Man, this is really impressive animation for a music video…” *starts to think I’m missing something*

[ship gets rammed and guy survives on his own, rescued by some guy with white horses] “This is really looking a lot like Ben Hur, guys.”

[chariot races] “Okay, this is definitely the Ben Hur story. But this is new stuff. Where’s Charlton Heston? Where did they get these clips?”

[end ad for the new Ben Hur movie] *the moment of light for Sherlock Holmes/writefury*

Okay, give me some credit. I figured out the Ben Hur part.

Anyway, hope you guys enjoyed the song!

Do you like For King & Country? What’s your favorite song? (if you can choose, of course… )

Please comment, and Shabbat Shalom!

  1. I really like a lot of the For King and Country music. Proof of Your Love is one of my favorite music videos and the first one I ever saw of theirs. I love Ceasefire too. I was already looking forward to the movie some, but after this video (and a number of positive reviews), I decided I really wanted to see it. (I may get to go tomorrow!)

    1. Proof of Your Love is AWESOME. πŸ˜€ For King and Country has awesome music videos. ❀
Cool! You'll have to tell me how it is! (I think I'd probably be a snob about the new movie because the only one I've seen is the old, super long one. XD)

        1. I think it’s more the association for me with the old movie. It was a sort of coming-of-age thing with me and Daniel of “okay, you’re old enough to watch Ben Hur now” and then we got to stay the night at our grandparents’ house and get ice cream and stuff. Plus it’s my grandma’s all time favorite movie. XD

        2. I’m with Hope on the book! Movie was always too gory. And the whole leprosy thing was just gross. I’m going to have to hear a review or two before braving another screen version – but I’m a violence wimp.

    1. My favorites change a lot too. πŸ˜› Shoulders is always awesome. Right now, Matter and Steady are both really relevant to my life, but Ceasefire is getting stuck in my head the most. πŸ˜‰

  2. I didn’t think highly of the idea to remake Ben-Hur (THE FIRST ONE IS PERFECTION LIKE WHY) but now I think I might actually watch it when it comes out on DVD? Idk?
Also the song. Wow. I like some of For King & Country’s stuff, and this is my new favorite. Also this video is epic and the two guys are super cool.

    1. I KNOW I BASICALLY HAD THE SAME THOUGHT PROCESS. I mean, usually when the book-to-movie adaptation is multiple hours long and does it exactly, it’s not getting much better.
      But still, special effects… πŸ˜›
For King & Country is my favorite. ❀ They always have really great videos, too.

  3. Okay, I just watched ‘Shoulders’, and I was like,
*When is this gonna end, I’m gonna cry and I don’t want to cry in the library.*
But at the very end when the guy puts the picture of him and the girl on the grave, I just couldn’t help it. I cried, but it was quiet, and I’m in a corner so no one saw. I am a very emotional girl. Corissa doesn’t cry at anything, I cry at everything. (She’s heartless. How can you not cry when Kili dies in Battle of the Five Armies?)

Any thoughts?
