Hey, everyone!
Happy Monday! 🙂
So, today I’m sharing something that I’ve been enjoying for quite a while, but have neglected to share. Shame on me.
Okay, so it’s called The Very Serious Writing Show. What it’s not is serious. What it is, though, is awesome.
It is run by a college student named Daniel Thompson, officially labeled on iTunes as a “Radio Man & Certified Loon”. He lives up to his self-proclaimed title in a very endearing way and really puts his all into the podcast. Staying up way too late for his own good editing is quite common. 😉
There are interviews from a lot of awesome people and you get to hear their personal writing tips and stories. Included in the lineup, we have Wayne Thomas Batson, Steve Rzasa, Paul McCusker, Sarah E Morin, quite a few fun One Year Adventure Novel people and many more.
Plus, it’s broken up with midsections of super fun stuff. Ads for Loot Crate, plot-idea dumps, celebrity poetry readings and selections of the most ridiculous world news possible. I’ve never made it through a podcast without laughing, personally.
Needless to say, it’s got everything and it’s my favorite podcast ever. 🙂
That’s the soundcloud link, and this (ThatGuyWithTheHat.com) would be Daniel’s website on which you can leave comments in the Hangout section, submit questions for the authors he interviews or poetry for the midsection.
So, yes. Definitely check that out. It’s great.
Aaaaand… I had a particular reason for posting this today. That reason would be that my poem, The Ballad of Scott Sterling, is the midsection for today’s podcast. 🙂 And it’s read by Dobby with soulful music playing in the background. Can’t get much better than that.
Enjoy the podcast, guys. I sure do.
I’ve now said my piece.
Tell me, are there any fun writing podcasts you listen to? What do you think of The Very Serious Writing Show?
As always, comment! Love hearing what you guys think. 🙂

That’s so awesome!!! Congrats on having your poem in it!!! 😀
Thanks! Dobby was a fun reader for it, too. 😛
XD
I love the show!! I listened to it when my favorite author (Bryan Davis, of course) was on! Congrats on having your poem in it!! XD
Bryan Davis was awesome! I kind of liked the titling game one. 😉
Thanks! 🙂
I’ve only heard a couple of them, but I told my brother I’m gonna make him listen to yours. 😛
Well, then. I’m flattered. XD The first one is pretty dang hilarious. Daniel and Ezra are making up a sort of moose musical thing with Tom Hiddelston as a villain named Bo Bobo. XP
Awesome!! 😛
