Passover Hiatus

It’s one of those times of year again! πŸ˜›

So, our family has been taking internet fasts for the feasts this past year (I’ve taken Sukkot and Hannukah off, if you guys have been following for a while) and Passover finishes up the cycle.

I’ve been not as consistent as usual in the past weeks with responding to comments and such (I haven’t gotten on my email in… what? Three weeks?) And that would be because we’ve been passover cleaning.

Like, a lot.

Big house. Lots of people. Do the math.

But, lots of people, so we got our cleaning done as of last night, and tonight starts the seder.

We’ll be eating lamb and matzah and horseradish (the last of these will prooobably turn into a competition of who will eat the most without totally loosing it). And during the week, we’ll make more non-bready treats and go out and have fun and stuff.

So, yep. It’ll be pretty fun.

As usual, a poll to decide what I should put up first when I get back:

I’ll expand on those a little.

Poems: I’ll probably write at least one while I’m gone. πŸ˜›

Short stories/random writing snippets: I still have to do that potluck story for you guys. And I got a new writing prompts book! And my cyborgs have about… three short stories in the works.

Recipes: Okay, so we have this thing during passover. It’s called matzah toffee and it’s… addictive to say the least. I’ll definitely be taking pictures for putting up the recipe.

Photos: We’ll be having a picnic at Bowman Bay this weekend. And it’s like my favorite place ever to take pictures ohmygoodnessIcan’twait. O_o I might be doing some prop-shooting with Isaiah’s little sailboat on the beach as well.

Giver book review: My mom and I have been taking turns nicely with the books and reading through the series. I got the last one from the library yesterday. By the end of the week, I’ll probably have a decent series review to put up. (I’m a little nervous. I hopehopehope the series ends well…)

Fanfiction: Hmm… I’ve just had a few ideas rattling around for a bit. On many different topics. Including, but not limited to: Captain America, Ant-Man, Mission Impossible, Horatio Hornblower and Doctor Who. (I have this thing about missing spots in the timeline. I MUST FILL THEM IN.)

Big sis/writer post: Again. A few ideas. If you vote for this one, comment with what topic you’d like to see it on. πŸ™‚

Aaand, unlike the other times, I actually have a few posts scheduled to go up so you guys won’t be too bored while I’m gone. You’ll just have to wait and see what they are. πŸ˜‰

Well, I’ll be here until the evening, so maybe I’ll get an idea of where to direct my efforts for you guys as the week starts.

Thank you guys so much! ❀ You’re all so lovely and patient.

And… *skims post* I think that’s it.

Byeee!

  1. The last book in the Giver series is very good. I read it after only reading the first one (shame on me… but in my defense, I didn’t know there were more) and it still made sense. I think you’ll like it. πŸ™‚

    1. Oh cool! Yeah, good to know. πŸ™‚ The others didn’t go back to Jonas’s world at all, though you did find out what happened to him, it’s driving me a little nuts not knowing what happened to his world after he left. πŸ˜›

    1. Yes! He’s awesome! πŸ˜€ Only got a couple episodes in with him, though. Love him so far. πŸ˜‰
Thanks! πŸ™‚ Yeah, a few ideas rattling around for that one…

    1. YES YOU WILL HAVE ALL THE STUFF!!! (Mostly the poll is so I can get the scheduling straight. Unless, of course, you want me to back up a whole dumptruck of posts onto here in a day…)
Yes, it is quite adorable. ❀

      1. Well, I wouldn’t call myself messianic. We do believe Jesus is the Messiah and we keep all the biblical Feasts though.
